If you want to stay for one night or enjoy a carefree self-catering farm holiday, this is the farm to visit. Sitting in the lapa you will hear the rumble of the Buffalo River just beyond the acacia trees. When you take a walk to go and see this music-maker of nature, you will be greeted with the magnificent view of the mountain.Freek's Cottage is an old house on the farm and it has three bedrooms. One of the bedrooms has a double bed, the other two bedrooms have twin beds and there are one bathroom with shower. The living area has a built-in fireplace which during the chilly winter months can be used as a braai. During summer time there is nothing better than sitting around a campfire in the lapa with millions of stars watching over you. The accommodation is pet friendly and there is a DStv decoder available, but you will need to bring your own smart card.Bird life is in abundance thanks to the river water source and acacia trees. The weir helps to create a fantastic dam where one can swim or canoe if you bring your own canoe along. If you want to go hiking you can explore the cave and the fossils on the farm. There are some great 4x4 routes and mountain bike trails around the farm. There is also fishing and birdwatching down by the river.
