GAME VIEW LOGE RECENSIES (90 %) Enjoyable Stay by Annelie Forbes, South Africa 02 September 2016 We stayed at Game View Lodge on our way to Namaqualand. The accommodation was great, the service very friendly and the breakfast was excellent. Sophisticated jewel in Vryburg by Hendrik Spreeth, South Africa 12 November 2016 Excellent! Clean, tasteful interior, game watching experience was exhilirating! Delicious breakfast. Gem of a hotel by Shelley Stoop 16 January 2018 Game View Lodge is not only a modern, stylish and beautiful lodge, its location on the game park gave it an advantage as we enjoyed the tranquil view from our balcony room. Perfect stop over for weary travellers from the West Coast en route to JHB. Pleasantly welcomed and cared for. Would highly recommend. The room and high standard of the decor by Liz Moore 05 February 2018 We chose this lodge as it looked quiet with just a few rooms - we knew we would be tired after a long journey and would be in need of a good night's sleep. When we arrived all was well, but then a very noisy bunch of businessmen en route for the iron ore mines in Kuraman arrived and our peaceful evening ended. We sighed a sigh of relief when the party went out for dinner, and we retired to bed early, knowing that we had another long journey in the morning. However we were woken at about 9.30pm with the owner of the guest house and the organizer of the party have a noisy, full-scale argument right outside our door. Apparently a number of the party had left their windows and lights on in their rooms, so when they returned their rooms were full of insects and mosquitoes. They did quieten down after my husband asked them to please go and have their argument somewhere else. We resettled down to sleep - having turned the fridge in our room down as it was so noisy. But our slumbers did not last long and I was aghast to be woken at 5am with the occupants next door listening to China News on the TV. They then proceeded to pack up and leave - but a herd of clog-dancers would have made a quieter exit. It baffles me to know what planet the party are on to (a) not know that leaving windows and doors open with lights on in the evening attracts insect life and (b) not to have common courtesy to other guests. The owner just shrugged in the morning when we complained. However when the breakfast cook asked if I had slept well, I related the sorry tale of the guests from hell and he was very apologetic - so was the receptionist. We had drunk one soda water from the mini-bar and one bottle of beer from the main bar, but they did not have the grace to waive the charge for these. If you want a peaceful night - I don't recommend this lodge. Stopover by Janine Wichmann 13 March 2018 My dad really enjoyed his stay. Highly recommended Great hospitality 10 out of 10 by Colin Salter 10 June 2018 Nothing 10 out of 10 An oasis on the long trek home by Paul Mackenzie 25 June 2018 Very nice and well appointed. Only downside is the walls are quite thin so you can hear noise from the passage and other rooms. Otherwise a brilliant place. Highly recommended.
