Gamka Olives Farm Accommodation is conveniently situated in the small village of Leeu Gamka which straddles the railway line and the N1 between Laingsburg and Beaufort West.

Stay in our self-catering cottage on the edge of an olive orchard which offers two bedrooms and a bathroom with a bath and shower. The kitchen is ideal for self-catering with a fridge, microwave and braai facilities.

We also offer a garden room connected to the main house, but with separate entrance. This room has an open-plan kitchen and dining area. It has a bedroom with a double bed. Bunk beds available in the living area. Braai facilities available. No TV!

The last Cape lion was shot at Leeu-Gamka in 1857, and this species is now extinct. Private Schultz, said to be the tallest man in the British army, died here from wounds received in combat during the Anglo-Boer War. This is a great stopover for families and individuals alike. Come and experience true Karoo hospitality in a safe and friendly environment.

The cottage is quaint and comfortable. The ladies we friendly and accommodating. I would recommend it and defiantly stay there again.

Perfect stop over, clean, comfortable and plenty of space. Lodge owner very pleasant, even waited up for us, as we arrived late. Would definitely recommend.

We appreciated a one night stay in a surprisingly beautifully decorated cottage. Although the trucks provided a constant distant noise, we had a good night's sleep. Thank you for the milk and rusks with coffee. Tertius and Christa

Great stop over when travelling with pets by

The cottage is very clean and fenced in, which is perfect for letting pets loose. Passing vehicles on the N1 make a little bit of noise, but it is still easy to get a good nights rest.

Peacefull Accommodation by

We really enjoyed the rusticness and spaciousness of the cottage. It was cold was when we arrived but our hostess made sure that the heater in the bedroom was switched on to ensure that we had a great nights rest. Everything was to our liking.
