Gamkarab Cave en Adventure Trails

Gamkarab Cave and Adventure Trails is situated some 35 kilometres from Outjo, and offers rustic and basic accommodation ideal for nature lovers seeking a more natural experience. The accommodation is also ideal for Cave Divers and explorers heading to the Gamkarab Cave.

Farm Gamkarab mainly offers camping. The camping ground is large enough to accommodate 20 people, and situated near the farm dam. There is only one gents and one ladies shower, with warm water only available at the main house. Guest need to bring all their own equipment and braai grids for the braai area. There is no kitchen facilities, water or electricity at the camp ground. Guest can charge their mobile phones and laptops at the main house. The farm dam is filled with koi and is the ideal spot to cool down during the warm summer months.

Additional accommodation is available in a basic guest unit, with two bedrooms to sleep four people comfortably. The unit is adjacent to the main house and has no electricity or cooking facilities. Meals are available on request.

Activities at this working cattle farm, includes horse riding trails and cave exploration. The Gamkarab Cave was used as a water source for the bushman and local wildlife. Visitors can explore the dark cave which leads 60 meters down to the water point. The cave system fans out underwater and researchers are still exploring the myriad of tunnels. Explorers need to bring their own headlights and wear old clothes and comfortable shoes.
