Grey Lourie Guest House is a peaceful and homely guest house situated in the town of Zeerust, in the heart of the magnificent bushveld and close to the Botswana border.

We offer comfortable accommodation in Double- and Twin Rooms with en-suite bathrooms. All the rooms have tea and coffee facilities, fans, air-conditioning, TVs with DStv and WiFi access, heaters and bar fridges.

There is a lovely bistro restaurant on the premises for delicious meals throughout the day. Braai facilities are available on request, and we can also cater for private events such as year-end functions.

The area is surrounded by game lodges and is located close to the well-known Madikwe Game Lodge.

Cozy and homely by

The guest house is such a welcome relief after a long days driving. To be met with such warm, almost family like hospitality was a welcome surprise. For us, the small thing of interacting with the family dogs made us feel more comfortable right from the get go. Was a pleasure and will definitely stat there again next year.

Clean comfortable stay in a great location.

There was a bed to sleep on by

We were only passing thoughZeerust, and needed nothing more than a clean bed and bathroom. That was supplied. But the indication of a restaurant on the premises was met by a grumpy owner who told us how tired she was of her own food. So sorry, no food, and no breakfast the next morning. If we had not had our own coffee, there would be a container with coffee hardly enough for one cup. By the look of it, it was not washed or filled for a very long time. The container with the teabags was full, but also looked as if it was shoved in there a long time ago. There was nothing that we would recommend or that will make us return to Grey Loerie next time we drive through Zeerust.

After a long day on the road we arrived at this haven of peace with cute cottages in a large green garden.
