Value for money - Extremely good and a wonderful place to stay
It was an absolute pleasure to stay at Vondelhof and will definitely be back. Mad dogs by Mandy Lynch, United Kingdom 11 November 2006 The guesthouse was very spacious and clean. We arrived very early in the morning and the owner had no problem accommodating us with a room. We were very amused by the mad collie dog that ran around everything in site and had worn out a circular route in the garden. We did take a walk into the town centre and were not bothered by anyone - we had lunch in a little cafe there and then walked back. The owner of the guesthouse provided details of a reputable taxi service (very reasonable rates) that we used to get out in the evening for dinner at Joe's Beer house - nice beer. Beautiful bathroom as well. Only let down was the fact that breakfast was not included and quite expensive for what we received (no cooked items - only bread and perserves and cereals). Wifi was also charged extra. Otherwise it was an easy stay with lots of rest.

Our quotes are for accommodation only, and we specify on our quotations that VAT and tourism levy are included, and that breakfast is optional. We advise on the two breakfast options: the continental buffet and the English breakfast. Most guests -including yourself- opt for the continental buffet @ R 45 which includes three types of cereals, plain and fruit yoghurt, milk, raisins, linseed, sunflower seeds, dates, dried prunes and banana slices, fruit basket, fresh fruit salad, cheese platter, cold meat platter, brown and white bread, rice and corn crackers, rusks, biscuits, butter and margarine, jams, two flavours fruit juices, hot chocolate, black and rooibos tea, and filter coffee. I'm a bit surprised to hear that you find that expensive; when I go to a coffee shop in town, a simple toasted sandwich without a drink is even more expensive. But be that as it may, I am pleased to hear that your overall experience was positive.
