Situated on the banks of the Kafue River in the Kafue National Park, Hippo Lodge is the parfect spot to enjoy a relaxed safari in the heart of Zambia. There are different options for accommodation ranging from two to six sleepers.

The houses all have en-suite bathrooms with either baths or showers. One of the houses is fully set up for self-catering with the added benefit of a staff member to assist guests with cleaning, cooking and laundry. The houses are lit by paraffin lamp and the water is warmed by wood fire ensuring a truly rustic experience. The main lodge and bar area has solar powered electricity.

Hippo Lodge offers a range of activities. Guests are able to enjoy a morning hike through the national park where they can enjoy the smaller aspects of the bush. Game drives provide the ideal opportunity to follow the sounds of the larger animals. The river cruises and fishing are true stress relievers, while the bird life is abundant.
