This is a beautiful self-catering house situated in the 400-acre Blyde Wildlife Estate, at the foot of the Drakensberg Mountains. It is about 16 km outside the town of Hoedspruit.

The house consists of three bedrooms, three bathrooms of which two are en suite, a loft area, a fully equipped kitchen and an open-plan living area. There is a spacious thatch-roof patio with outdoor furniture, leading to a enclosed barbeque area. Guests can take a dip in the lovely swimming pool or just relax on the sun loungers.

There is a beautiful wooden walkway leading to a private deck, with views of the bush and wildlife. Secure and covered parking is available on the property. Daily cleaning services are provided, and various trips and excursions can be arranged on request.

The place met, and in some areas exceeded, our expectations. The deck is great for relaxing and sundowners, it is cleaned properly and there is ample space both inside and in the outside entertainment area.

It would have been a 5 star rating but for a view minor inconveniences which I've communicated directly with the agents. Will certainly visit again.


Restful by

My family and I stayed at this house over the Christmas weekend. As we were all still working we didn't have much time for a holiday but 3 days at this house felt like a week anywhere else. We loved it. With the swimming pool and inside air-conditioning we could keep cool in the heat.The house is luxurious and exceeded our expectations. There is nothing as peaceful and relaxing as a stay in the bush.
