Ilifu Zelf-Zichricht Cottages In Hogsback

Ilifu is a self-catering home away from home on 2 hectare of forest land in the quaint little village of Hogsback in the Eastern Cape. Here you can let your hair down, unwind, stare out over the valley below (you can see all the way to Alice), explore the lush garden and indigenous forest or just chill in the comfy cabin (Jaaps) or rustic Hoggie cottage in front of the fireplace.

It is situated in Winding lane in upper Hogsback about 3km from the village centre and comprise of an open plan cabin (Jaap's place) and a homely 2 bedroomed cottage (Hoggie cottage).

Jaap's cottage is a open plan unit with 2 toilets, full bathroom and a seperate shower. It can accommodate two adults (double bed) and two children (on a sleeper couch) and features a fully equipped kitchen, a dining room area, a lounge area with a TV and DVD player and a sleeping area with a double bed.

Hoggie cottage has two bedrooms, a cosy lounge, bathroom with old iron bath, big farm style kitchen, a courtyard and a patio. The main bedroom has a spectacular view over the valley down to Alice and you can lie in bed watching the mist rise over the valley. It has a queen size bed, lots of linen (duvet, down duvet, quilt) and electric blanket with sliding doors onto a big patio where you can lie on the lounger staring out over the valley.

There is a fireplace in the lounge as well as a TV with DVD player and mini hi-fi. There is a sleeper couch in the lounge, if you would like to sleep in front of the fire, or for children.

The second bedroom has 2 single copper beds with a door leading into the courtyard. The kitchen is equipped with all the normal stuff you would need for cooking?.gas stove, fridge?.and it also leads onto the courtyard through french doors. The courtyard is a place for hanging out, having a braai or just sitting in the sun, reading a book
