We were received by very friendly staff. the selfcatering unit was ample for or needs and the environment lovely. We were told that they are in the process of upgrading - it is definitely necessary. the kitchen in very poorly equipped, and furniture in need of attention. threadbare towels and patio furniture. The lodge has a lot of potential.


False advertisement by

 My husband and I stayed in the self-catering unit for 2 nights. We were very disappointed when the room was not the same as the picture when I booked. I thought I booked a spacious room with enough space for my one year old who will sleep in the cot that I brought with...I also phoned to ask if it would be in order to bring my baby along and I was assured that it wouldn't be a problem. I also expected a bath for my baby, as it appeared in the picture.  However there was no bath in the tiny bathroom and my baby had to shower with my husband which was unsettling. It was also way over priced for such a small room.
A lot more can be said about how Ilita Lodge should improve but they are under new management and I hope that these aspects will be addressed soon.

Breakfast was amazing and service was really friendly and efficient. Rooms could do with a bit of work. Very dated shower and sliding door to bathroom.
