Kaskazi HouseLamu Archipelago, Lamu County, Kenya Zelf-Zichricht vanaf R 5,094 (familie-eenheden vanaf R 40,756) | R 5,094 |
This house is named after the northerly monsoon wind that blows in the summer months and have carried the dhows for thousands of years to Lamu from India and Arabia, laden with treasure for trade.
Kaskazi is imaginatively designed and sits back from the beach. It offers wonderful sea views while surrounded by landscaped tropical gardens. The house consists of four towers around an elevated infinity pool. The two front towers consist of six spacious bedrooms while the other two towers house the communal areas and kitchen.
Each bedroom has a private terrace and its own special bathroom. The wonderful master bedroom is also found in the second tower and has a stargazing bathtub and an outside shower. Laundry facilities are provided at no extra costs and Satellite TV is available in the rooms.
Shady makuti-covered terraces run between the four areas and provide privacy for the pool area, while still allowing the breeze to blow through and gently sway the hanging beds. The house also has a welcoming bar and baraza seating area by the entrance, a large lower dining area, a rooftop dining and recreation area and plenty of room around the pool for relaxing in the sun or watching the stars at night.
As Kaskazi is situated on an island and many water sports can be enjoyed, guests at Kaskazi have the exclusive use of a private speedboat and captain. Water skis, wakeboards, tubes and snorkelling equipment can be used by guests without any extra costs. Kaskazi also has a games room with table tennis and darts and guests can enjoy a massage to add extra relaxation. Airport transfers are also provided if needed.
Nothing has been spared to ensure that Kaskazi House is as comfortable, functional and luxurious as possible.
