Keurbooms River Lodge is nestled on the banks of the Keurbooms River, just outside of Plettenberg Bay. This is an upstairs unit and is fully equipped for self-catering and sleeps up to six guests in three en-suite bedrooms. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, mini-oven and microwave, and all linen and towels are provided. DSTV: New DSTV decoder with owners card - you either have to bring your own single view decoder + card or rent the owners card at R40 per day and R114 to connect. Please advise before arrival.From Keurboomstrand to the Robberg Peninsula there are 15 km of beaches punctuated by the river mouth and an island. The river, lagoon, bay, and beaches are much used by fishing and boating enthusiasts and offers the best shore-based whale watching in the area. Situated between the hills covered with indigenous fynbos, with the Bitou River flowing through, is the tranquil and rural village of Wittedrift - a bird and nature lover's paradise.We cater for a more mature clientele and regret that we do not accept bookings for students or matric groups.

Very neat and comfortable. Kids loved it. Would refer any friend to visit.

Worst stay ever! You are charged separately for every little thing! by

Worst stay! Although a lovely setting, you are charged additional for everything including the laundry of the bedding. You are also charged a breakage deposit of which they just subtract amounts as they see fit and an additional cleaning fee of R 350. 

On top of everything the place has automated locks which you are not told about, so the rooms just lock. This could have been a worse nightmare if one of my small children were locked in by mistake. Luckily it only happened to mother-in-law. The staff had to go through the roof to open the room again.

Also not well stocked with glasses, plates and bowls. 

Also note this unit is not appropriate for kids, as the windows have no burglar bars, and the kids can literally fall out. We had to ask for another unit of which we were then charged double cleaning and double laundry. All in all we paid over R 1200 for additional fees.

Shocking service! Very disappointed!
