Khukhumala Guest Home and Conference Centre is situated in the Wild Coast town of Port St. Johns, in the Eastern Cape.

The guest house comprises of eight open-plan standard rooms, which all feature twin or king-size beds, en-suite bathrooms, kitchenettes, lounges with DStv, study desks and Internet access. Khukhumala also offers guests daily housekeeping, laundry services, conference facilities and parking on the premises.

Port St Johns has many great attractions and activities in and around the area for guests to enjoy such as Hiking in Silaka Nature Reserve, the Cape Hermes Lighthouse and the outstanding beaches.

Eye Opener by

My first visit to the old Transkei! Visited some of the the most beautiful places I have ever seen. Tee farm near Lusikisiki. (Aparently one of last tee farms in the country) Magwa Falls Mbotyi The coast line near Port St Johns. All of it just stunning! The town of Port St Johns and the ?Guest House? was clearly well established before the homelands were introduced in our country. Since then there was not any development! Everything are eroded to a point where only the wreck is left or nothing. The infra structure is falling apart and the place is in a mess! You do not see anybody trying to clean up anything. We have made peace with the fact that the place is worst than a third world country. The Guest house: Cutlery only for one person. Only one big and one small towel. ( The logo of the local hospital is on one towel) The linen has holes in it. Furniture are either broken or in very bad condition. No dust bin. The brochure says 3 meals but you need to order. No meal was available at all. They lock the motor gate at night and then the management and staff dissapear until late the next morning! No remote, so you have to stay put until somebody arrive!

Big room with good furniture by

Nice place close to the river and town. but it is in real need of cleaning, had to call them to clean my room. Also what could help is to install showers as their bath tubs are tiny. Had to change my microwave as it wasn't working. Since they do not provide food, it would help to have some crockery in the rooms as they have cupboards already.

Disappointed by

The unit needs to be cleaned up throughly and is in need of pest control.Mosquitos at night don't allow a peaceful sleep.The stove did not work and was not replaced.The power tripped many times.No house cleaning.

Meeting Boursie by

Very spacious and clean. They wanted us to have an upstairs room which was nicer but stairs are difficult. Very welcoming.
