The town Klawer, is named after the wild clover that grows in the area. Situated on the banks on the Olifant's River, the town has a distinct rural atmosphere and character. Klawer is an excellent starting point from where you can discover the rest of the Oliphant's River Valley. In the flowering season, the fields miraculously turn into a fairyland of colour, contrasting sharply with the hard rocks and red earth and contributing to a magnificent sight.
