A warm welcome to Krekwakwou, which is a Dutch slang word for "just what I wanted" as your hostess originally came from Holland. We are situated in Lakeside, a tranquil southern suburb of Cape Town. We border the West Lake Golf Course and have glorious, uninterrupted views towards Steenberg Mountain. The popular and highly rated West Lake Golf Course is easily accessible, being a mere five minutes away, and welcomes guest players.
The self-contained apartment, with its own security system linked to a 24 hr armed response, is part of the main house and has a private entrance and safe parking. The large bedroom is fitted with either a comfortable king size bed or two single beds with lots of cupboard space. There is a spacious bathroom with a bath, shower, wash basin and toilet. The open-plan lounge area has a TV, a dining room table and a well fitted kitchenette. The wind protected, private patio invites you to relax with a glass of wine at the end of the day. Enjoy the peace of the mountains above and watch the golfers.
The self-catering unit is provided with complimentary basics like sugar, salt, tea, coffee, and spices. There is DStv and broadband ADSL, a fan and heater, and linen and towels are provided. The apartment is serviced twice a week and towels are changed every three days. Guests are welcomed with a free bottle of wine and fresh fruits and we can arrange an airport transfer or car rental by prior arrangement.
We are close to the False Bay beaches and Table Mountain National Park, as well as shopping centres and public transport. The beautiful route along the False Bay coastline towards Cape Point, passes through the surfers paradise of Muizenberg, quaint St. James with its family-friendly tidal pool, Kalk Bay with its working fishing harbor and fascinating little shops, Fish Hoek the ultimate beach for swimmers and Simon's Town which is the heart of the South African Navy with the penguin colony at Boulders Beach.
