Kunkura is set in the tranquil bushveld in the heart of the Waterberg biosphere. The Waterberg Biosphere Reserve's international status was acknowledged in March 2001 and now forms part of an international network of biosphere reserves registered with UNESCO. The reserve is the first Savannah biosphere in South Africa. Its unique bio diversity features and cultural aspects make the area a special place to visit and live in.

The lodge consists of seven rustic but elegant en-suite Chalets, with hot and cold water as well as all amenities included. There is a large thatch lapa and boma with an open fire for the relaxing and starlet evenings. Situated in the Limpopo Province of South Africa, between Vaalwater and Lephalale, lays the Waterberg Biosphere, 50 km from the Limpopo River.

Game drives are available on request where guests will see anything from impalas to giraffes. We cater for overnight stays, weekend getaways, mid-week getaways, year-end functions, team getaways, birthday parties, anniversaries and intimate bushveld weddings.
