By arrival in the afternoon the 25 of December we spoke to Dominic, so called ?manager' of Luna Lodge. He works for Thys Badenhorst, the owner of the Lodge.
He told us we could not have breakfast because all the apartments were self-catering. We showed him our papers, so he could see for himself that we made a reservation for Bed and Breakfast R 3900,--.
The owner, as far as we could see, did not live there at the moment, the house was full of beds.
?The manager' disappeared several times to make phonecalls with Thys Badenhorst.
When he came back he told us we could pay only for the self-catering apartment or we could get a breakfast voucher.
We made a phonecall to you, to Safarinow, but because of Christmas time the office was closed, and we decided to try to find accomodation including breakfast at PlettenbergBay.
With the help of the owner of the Cornerwayhouse, a lovely lady, who did not have a room for us but she checked the computer and found an adress for us, La Paradiso, where we could make a reservation for a room including breakfast for two nights .
We paid R 1950,-- to Safarinow for the reservation at Luna Lodge but we did not stay at Luna Lodge because of the breakfast problem. If they change all the apartments into self-catering apartments which they did they should have let us know in time, they had plenty of time. We were very disappointed when we arrived at Luna Lodge.
We did inform ?the manager' of Luna Lodge by telephone in the afternoon the 25 of December that we found accomodation elswhere in PlettenbergBay for Bed and Breakfast.
Last weekend we returned from our holiday in South-Africa.
We have made extra costs because of the fault at LunaLodge.
If we would have known this before we definitive would not have made a reservation for a self-catering apartment. We always make reservations for bed and breakfast.
It's a pity we could not reach you the 25 of December. The only choice we had was to try to find another accomodation ourselves including breakfast.
