WANT PRIVACY, PEACEFUL SURROUNDINGS AND AND THE SOUND OF THE SEA. COME AND UNWIND at Macaneta Blue Beach Retreat. Located 35 km North of Maputo in the prime area of ?Macaneta Island?. Cross the new bridge and find yourself in the midst of quiet unspoiled beaches and a unique bush environment nested in the dunes. Our approach is quite different from the busy camps by offering three individual quiet and peaceful studios for couple. These exclusive contemporary beach retreats offer premium access to the beach, being only 50 meter away. Each studio has an open-plan living consisting of a sleeping area with a double bed and a quality mosquito net. An en-suite bathroom, a mini kitchenette corner with a hot plate, bar fridge and cutlery as well an outside area with braai and a dining table. Each unit has aswell an outdoor shower. Above houses 2 and 3 are viewing decks overlooking the ocean. Ask our staff to assist you with local fish. Should you not want to cook, the island offers several excellent restaurants near by. The retreats are only accessible by 4x4 or at least a bakkie type as there is a short sandy area to access the place.

Absolutely amazing! by

Our stay at the retreat was really wonderful. Myself and 4 friends arrived on a Thursday, later than we had anticipated, so we missed the ferry boat. But Stephan and the guys made a plan for us to get across and to the retreat. We didn't have a 4X4 but again a plan was made to accommodate us. The units are nicely sized and clean, we managed to braai and make ourselves some breakfast. The prepaid electricity ran out in the main unit for a while, but the guys came through and sorted it out within a reasonable time. The walk to the beach is so short and the view from the deck of the ocean is amazing. It was truly an enjoyable stay, most definitely will be back again.

Peaceful back to nature type of stay where fishing by the locals is still done in the traditional way. Fantastic.

Nightmare vacation by

This place is not what it look like on the website . my experience was not good at all .they is no reception . We went out for one day we did not come back when we come on the second day they have put people in our chalets . Safari now do you check these people . The place was smelling fresh paint like it were just prepare for us . We only sleep for one night , we had to look for same where else . Eric and his boss are no good at all . In my opinion I think safari now should remove them until the fix the problem . My money that I have paid are need it back please . On positive side beach is marvelous

Beautiful Stay by

The accommodation is just like the pictures, we had a lovely stay here even though we started the holiday by getting stuck in the sand- lol that was our own fault by not bringing 4x4s, definitely was needed. The locals were also so very helpful.

A special thanks and appreciation for Titus, we would have been lost without this amazing man assisting us with anything and everything we needed to know and required.

Alex and Ernest were also very helpful and prompt with their assistance.

Overall beautifully located accommodation with the beach literally a stroll away, sleeping at night and hearing the ocean was amazing, seeing the starts.

Definitely worth it.
