Madisa Campsite is situated on the popular D2612 road going towards Twyfelfontein, in Namibia. The camp is hidden between unusual rock formations and is privy to a desert elephant route, that often gets visited by these beautiful giants.

There are nine Private Campsites with their own ablution facilities, and five large Overland Sites with shared ablution facilities. Each campsite has lovely views of the Gauntegab River bed and rock formations, as well as solar-powered lights.

The ablution facilities are built on stilts and hidden in the tree tops. The braai areas also double-up as a donkey system for hot running water at each open-air shower.

The swimming pool and bar area are tucked away among the granite rocks, very welcoming after a long day and socializing with other guests. Game drives, sun downers, village walks, and tracking the desert-adapted elephants are some activities to enjoy.

Madisa Camp December 2014 by

What a lovely camp to find after a few thousand km's of touring through Namibia December 2014! Especially after the not so good road. We enjoyed your stay. Although the camp only supply electricity for few hours in the evening, we had our solar panels to help out!

Excelent camp site. The site neat and tidy. Nice to have your own shower, toilet and cooking area right next to you. Sites big and well laid out

We all thought Madisa was wonderful, rustic yet tasteful and very comfortable with beautiful surroundings and friendly hosts.





Very attractive surroundings but awful approach roads. We were a bit surprised to have to pay for firewood in order to have hot water for the shower.

Beautiful scenery by

We LOVED Madisa Camp. Damaraland is beautiful and Madisa Camp made the experience memorable, spending the night in tents with an outside shower and the most beautiful view from a koppie nearby.
