Mago Guest House is situated in a small rural village and is one of the only mid-range guest houses in the area. The guest house also serves as part of a hotel school, for catering and hospitality students. This is a convenient stop over for travellers heading to Lake Turkanam, Mt. Elgon and Uganda.

There are a wide selection of rooms available to guest as either a single, double, or triple occupancy. All the rooms have a touch of African design, mosquito netting and en-suite bathrooms. The restaurant is run by the catering and hospitality management students, and offers a selection of local and international dishes. In the evening guest are invited to relax by the bonfire under the stars. Excursions can be arranged on request.
