Discreetly tucked away in Mombasa's upmarket Nyali area, Makwetu Resorts is elegantly designed to ensure comfort, privacy and the quietness one requires to relax and enjoy a visit to the coast. The resort offers self-catering serviced apartments and studio rooms, all stylishly and tastefully furnished, en-suite and air-conditioned. All our apartments feature private patios overlooking the pool and gardens, allowing guests to soak up the fresh air and picturesque view from the comfort of their own balcony.

The apartments boast large open-plan living and dining areas, with the emphasis on being able to open up the house to enjoy the view and sunshine. The tastefully furnished lounges are all equipped with DStv connected TVs, overhead fans and house phones. Our spacious kitchenettes are each fitted with a fridge, four-burner cooker with an oven, microwave, toaster, electric kettle, and an assortment of cutlery and crockery to cater for all self-catering requirements. All of the bedrooms are attractively furnished and complemented with lively colours. Each room is furnished with either a double bed or twin beds, have private bathrooms, and are fully air-conditioned.

The resort offers everything you need for a perfect stay at the coast, including a swimming pool and breathtaking garden where one can relax and enjoy the warm Mombasa weather. Other facilities include residents' car park, DStv, Internet connectivity and a well-stocked bar.

The resort also provides two air-conditioned conference rooms which can comfortably seat up to 200 delegates and offer all standard conference facilities. Our lush and mature gardens provide an ideal venue for meals, special occasions such as weddings, anniversaries, cocktails and group team-building activities. We can comfortably host groups of up to 800 people. We can also offer both local and continental dishes from our al la carte menu. Meals are either served in the apartments or in the main restaurant.
