Masiphephe Guest House offers a comfortable and relaxing stay in Richmond, one of Kwa-Zulu Natal's oldest towns. It is ideal for both corporate and leisure travellers.

The house has 11 individually decorated rooms with en-suite bathrooms and single-, double- or king-size beds. All rooms have TVs with DStv access and some rooms have private balconies, the perfect vantage point to admire the view of the rolling hills and valleys of this area.

A delicious breakfast can be enjoyed in the spacious dining room and room service is offered for added convenience. Braai facilities are also available and provides the perfect opportunity to relax while enjoying the peace and tranquillity of this town.

There are many game reserves in the area and guests can enjoy a variety of water sports on the Umkomaas River. The town also has several historical monuments to explore and visit. End the day off with a refreshing drink while watching the sun dip slowly behind the beautiful hills of Kwa-Zulu Natal.

Friendly staff and the accommodation was good value for money. Will definitely return if in the area.

Masiphephe Guest House by

We were disappointed In Masiphephe Guest House. There was no king size bed in the executive suite as advertised on the website and I especially booked that suite for the bed. The side wall of the bath had been knocked out exposing the underneath of the bath, very ugly and off putting. We were given a choice of other rooms, 1 with a broken toilet seat! Everything seemed to work but where maintenance had been done it wasn't restored to before maintenance had happened. The bed however was comfortable and the room clean. The staff was not particularly helpful until pushed into doing so. The breakfast was okay except it would be much better if the egg was cooked when we came down to breakfast and we were asked how we liked it! It was also a problem a couple of times to get into the property as neither the phone line nor the intercom worked. Highly frustrating!

When the guests arrived they expected so much fault, the questions they asked and the actions were clear but nevertheless, we try to improve, grow and better our establishment sorry for your disappointment.
