HistoryThe Farm was known as "Chiltley Guest-Farm", a famous watering hole for weary travelers with ox wagons in the 1800's. The farm was once owned by a retired British Soldier during the Victorian era. "Chiltley" adds an historic touch to the old, established estate. It's one of the oldest farms in the Paddock area.The owner Dominique Berry have been living here for over 25 years breeding wolves and accommodating guests from all over South Africa and is welcoming each of you to share in this unique property and farm experience with its old buildings and rustic ambiance. Her wish is that each of you will leave here with a deeper knowledge of how much God loves you and what His plan and purpose is for your life through your experience in nature and the facilitation that took place. Beautiful Misty Creek Adventure Camp is a Heritage site established by Swedish Missionaries in the late 1800's and is situated 800 meters from the Beautiful Oribi Gorge Nature Reserve on the N2. It's about 15 minutes drive from Port Shepstone and 20 minutes from Shelly Beach. We offer Comfortable, Clean and Affordable Accommodation as well as camp sites (Bring your own Tent or Caravan). It is a Farm so please note there will be a spider or 2 that might pop in to say hi :) There are 3 types of accommodation apart from camping. The first is the Original Colonial House, Rooms was converted into Units with each a separate entrance with access from a veranda in front of all the rooms. The second is Wendy houses that were converted into Bungalows, they do not have Bathroom facilities therefore separate ablutions block with showers and toilets are available. The Third is Youth/ School and various other Christian Group bookings. We do leadership Training, Speak about Relevant issues our Youth and Children is facing, Woman and Men's Conferences and almost any other group booking you can imagine. Our rooms are only booked out for visitors when there are no groups. It is a pensioner Friendly establishment and perfect for guests who want to explore the scenic Oribi Gorge and surrounding Beaches and small towns. Important fact is to note that Misty Creek is well-known as the 'Breeder of Wolf Dogs' in KZN. To view the dogs, please ask for interaction session to be booked and what costs will be. No other animals will be allowed on the farm except those of the Owners, Donkeys and Ponies.
