Moholoholo nestles on the slopes of the 1944-metre-high Mariepskop, one of the highest peaks of the Drakensberg range in this area. This affords a breathtaking view of the towering mountains and vertical cliffs on one side and the rolling Eastern Transvaal Lowveld savanna towards Kruger Park on the other.

The Forest Camp comprises of three, secluded Thatched Reed Huts, four rustic Log Cabins and three Brick Chalets, all with en -suite bathrooms. The main building is where the dining room and deck are situated. The deck overlooks a small, shady waterhole under a canopy of large trees where Nyala and Bushbuck come to quench their thirst together with Samango monkeys. The waterhole is floodlit at night and visited by nocturnal animals such as Bush pig, Civet and Porcupine.

Excellent personal attention by

Attractive bungalow, very good personal attention. High botanical diversity.

Great Room & Setting by

The facilities including the rooms, food, guide and manager were all outstanding and took good care of us. This is not a big 5 setting so wildlife is a bit limited but having the rescue center to visit was a plus to see some animals and birds up close that are hard to see in the wild. Walking & night safari were also enjoyable.

Drakensberg with a difference! by

With Drakensberg as my search term, we were fully expecting to holiday in KZN! Instead, we ventured into  breathtaking landscapes that we'd not visited for years. We found the service to be more than friendly and super-efficient service: we got personal care and attention. Management and staff went out of their way to make us comfortable and helped us make the most of all the area had to offer. Lovely accommodation; tasty food; informative game drives and a fascinating few hours at the Rehab centre. Long may the great work and hospitality continue!
