Mount Park Guest Farm is situated in the beautiful upper Dargle region of KwaZulu Natal Midlands at the foot of the Inhlosane Mountain. This 344 hectare working beef farm consists of a diverse combination of grasslands, pastures, over 40 hectares of indigenous forest, wetlands and mountain, providing habitats for a large variety of bird species. One of the forests inhabitants is the rare Tree Hyrax. You may be lucky to hear its distinctive call at night. We offer self-catering accommodation in a century old farmhouse, Yellowwood Cottage, Rose Cottage, in two Cabins and have camping sites. Simple catering is offered in the Bull & Speir restaurant on request. This is all situated in a large old garden, intersected with small streams and a large old oak tree, ideal for relaxing on a sunny day. In the garden is a small dam stocked with trout, which is ideal for kids to fish and swim in. Adults are also welcome to throw a line. For the more active there are a number of walks through the forests, up the mountain, down to the vlei or a short stroll to the historic graveyard, in a grove of yellowwood trees. Perhaps an apt way to describe Mount Park is an ?Olde Worlde' delight.

MOUNT PARK GASTENPLAAS RECENSIES (86 %) Most enjoyable by Sheila Keen, South Africa 28 September 2009 - relaxing, neat, tidy. The gardens are very pretty. Lawns are well maintained. Sites are pretty level.
10km of dirt road to the park is a little slow when towing a caravan and the humps at the farm entrance were a little hectic for our caravan. Mount Park guest farm by Anonymous, South Africa 29 December 2009 Cabin a bit small but the stay was very nice. People in the area very friendly Midlands 5 Star Guest Farm by Daryl Wilkinson 07 January 2018 Execellent facilities and accommdation with wonderful hosts and supporting staff made our weekend retreat unforgetable!!

Awesome trails for running/hiking/walking by Debra Schroder 19 February 2018 We camped with our kids for 2 nights. Awesome for kids!!! So much to do for young and old!!! We enjoyed some time at the dam, the kids enjoyed swimming with the tubes. Jungle gym area too . Camp sites are spacious and all have stream frontage. Very peaceful water noise throughout the camp site area. Ablutions were clean.
The trails up the mountain are brilliant. I hiked easier routes with the kids, my husband did a trail run to the top of the mountain. Lots of trails to choose from.
They are busy making new camp sites with a new bigger ablution. Thank you by Samantha Winnard 26 March 2018 We had a lovely time. The kids didn't want to go back home. The rain and mist added to all the charm of Mount Park. Robson was a great help with sourcing a heater for us and also brought an extra blanket :) Thank you for a lovely stay. NATURE by Eduard Ihlenfeldt 03 April 2018 VERY NICE PLACE AND PEOPLE Beauty, tranquility and outdoor fun for the children by Natasha Moles 07 April 2018 Mount Park is a peaceful, family friendly getaway in the beautiful Dargle valley. Our cabin was cosy with trickling streams and pretty flowers on all sides, a perfect place to lie with a good book listening to the rain pattering in the evening. Our children had great fun on the kayaks and canoes on the dam, fishing and climbing the enormous old oak tree. We all enjoyed the numerous hikes ranging from easy to quite challenging all the way to the summit! My eleven year old even commented 'this is even better than Ushaka!' High praise indeed! With our friendly, helpful hosts adding to the ambience, we had a very enjoyable stay. Getting to know the wonderful people who live there by Jenny Tweehuijsen 22 April 2018 Mount Park Guest Farm is like experiencing heaven on earth. The accommodation is comfortable, the scenery is so beautiful and the owners are so welcoming. One could not ask for more! Thank you so much. Gorgeous, friendly, happy spot by Briony Chisholm 10 June 2018 We stayed in one of the wooden cabins, which was perfectly equipped for a weekend away. The stoep overlooks a beautiful stream and the forest beyond it. The owners are wonderfully friendly and helpful and we had delicious food for supper from the restaurant. Will definitely be back. The beautiful wooden log cabin where you could make a lovely fire by Louise Williams 02 July 2018 It was perfect and if we where not booked in at another place we would have stayed. People so friendly Peaceful and rejuvenating by Velosh Pillay 07 July 2018 Loved the secluded cottage, bird's singing, good hikes. Could improve the shower with a new shower head. Kitchen can improve with a tap that is a mixer, and the same for the basin. Let us know in advance what is supplied so that we can make arrangements for the rest. e.g. blankets for winter, toilet paper and soap. These used to be basic in all other accommodation that I booked. Frying pan is not hygienic. Too many spiders in the toilet. Aircon that was the best heater on one of the coldest nights of the year by Heidi Van Aswegen 19 August 2018 Everything was perfect The snow by Fenelle Haripersad 10 September 2018 I booked 2 units, the house and another unit for my Reverend and his group of men from my church, I thank Marietjie for accomadatinf us but the Mount Park has become so run down. It was cleaned, so dusty. The units are looking old. Maintenance is not upito date. Not being actioned weekly. The bedroom window didnt have a seal, so all that cold air just blew in. Hwne temperatures were so cold. Very uncomfortable for us to stay in. Not happy custormer MOUNT PARK GASTENPLAAS LOCATIE
