Using Paternoster as a base, one can easily explore the entire West Coast. Hike to Tieties Bay, visit the salt-works at Velddrif, delight in the wild flowers in Spring, go back in time at the Fossil Park, or visit Club Mykonos in Langebaan. However, most people come to Paternoster to relax, read a good book or take a well-deserved nap.

Paternoster is one of the last traditional fishing villages on the West Coast, most certainly the most romantic and peaceful place on this scenic and wonderful coastline. The area offers many activities, including sea kayaking, whale, dolphin, seal and penguin watching, walks along the sandy beach or among the boulders, artistic expression through pottery and painting.
