Situated in historical Bathurst Street, Oak Lodge Guesthouse offers a relaxed atmosphere and authentic home-from-home bed and breakfast accommodation. The Lodge offers affordable accommodation for up to 60 people sharing. There are conference facilities for up to 60 delegates, with catering for functions and receptions. The conference rooms look out onto a covered patio that leads to the sparkling pool, where barbecues and private parties can be organised. The dining room serves lunch and dinner on request.

Oak Lodge is within easy walking distance of the Central Business District, Rhodes University, the Supreme and Magistrates' Courts, the Museums and many of Grahamstown's historical places of interest. Tours can be arranged from the hotel to Settlers Dam, and to a multitude of malaria-free game parks and nature reserves, some with Big Five safaris.

Local sporting facilities are available for all major sports, including golf, tennis and squash. Adrenalin sports in the area include skydiving, micro-lighting and rock climbing. Horse riding, hiking and 4x4 trails are also popular options and the stunning beaches of the Sunshine Coast are just a 40-minute drive away.

Thank so much for my stayed at Oak Lodge Guesthouse, I felt home. The manager helped me a lot, mostly in cases of the transport which is the only problem I noticed in Grahamtowns. The staff are good, they only need to improve little bit on making omlettes and bacon otherwise they are very good and friendly and carering people. I therefore say, I got my home, was freely moving and I will recommending it to others. My thanks go direct to the manager, plus staffs. May God bless and keep you stronger and healthy.

A very pleasant stay.

Worn-out mattresses by

The service and breakfast was excellent. The pool was nice and clean and the guesthouse is close to the shops.
But 3 out of the 4 rooms that we booked had worn-out mattresses that slept very uncomfortable and gave us terrible backaches.
