Located at an elevation of 3300m above sea level, the Old Moses Mountain Hut is where hikers spend their first night while summiting the famous ice-capped peaks of Mount Kenya.

Mount Kenya was once an active volcano estimated to have been 22,000 feet tall. She offers hikers not only a extraordinary achievement, but a unique world of intricate high-altitude fauna and flora.

At the Oldmoses Camp Mountain Hut you have the option of sleeping in dormitory style bunkers or camping in the spacious grounds surrounding it. Both mountain huts have a kitchen and dining area with a well-maintained bathroom.
