Ou Werf Farm Cottage is a charming cottage situated on the edge of the Soetmuis Mountain on the Mierkraal Farm. It is off the grid and a 10-minute drive from Bredasdorp and is the ideal breakaway for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life, while still having the luxury of wi-fi. There are two rooms accommodating up to eight guests. It is also pet friendly!

The cottage is unique in that it only relies on solar energy. It can accommodate six guests in two bedrooms . Additional two guests on sleeper couch. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a gas stove and a fridge. The living area has a fireplace with doors leading onto the veranda. The veranda has a braai area and boasts spectacular views of the dam and the mountain.

There are a wide range of things to do on the farm. Guests can go horseback riding, birdwatching or drive out to a wine farm.

an idyllic spot, not too far away! by

For anyone who enjoys solitude Our Werf is the place for you. Stuck in the middle of a massive farm it offers a perfect antidote to the hustle and bustle of city life.
The accommodation is beautifully And simply arranged for comfort and relaxation and the owners add little touches to make you feel most welcome. The Windows are perfectly placed to frame the exquisite surroundings. Every room offers an exquisite view.
It is wonderful that you arrive and leave without seeing any one. The farm is perfect for walks. The place is pet friendly and the hosts even supply dog bowls!!
We truly loved our stay there and would highly recommend it to anyone.

One of the best farm cottages I've been to with my dogs - exceptionally private, beautiful views and direct surrounds - dams nearby, good walks; lovely decor, very well-equipped with welcoming extras, and the large windows are just dreamy; clean with good towels and linen, etc etc.A good base for accessing Arniston, Aghulas, Napier and elim - all worth visiting.Truly a gem!  Will certainly be back.

Rustic farm cottage just outside of bredasdorp. Beautiful views! Loved the fresh air and open spaces. My only criticism would be that we didn't have a lot hot water.

The serenity by

So quiet, no one around except ponys! The night sky was fabulous! The fireplace and hot water bottles were a wonderful bonus in winter! The decor was so fitting for the environment (love your taste ) and the rusks and coffee were much appreciated. Only regret, to not have more time to enjoy it!

A break into tranquility by

The fact that everything was available and all we had to bring was our own food. An excellent hideaway, and perfect to recharge the batteries.
