Paternoster is a wonderful, quaint fishing village located on the West Coast of South Africa. It is a haven of peace and tranquility that is not to be missed.

Paters Cape is a lovely beach house with beautiful views of the sea and over the fishing boats and the white beach of Mosselbank. The house features a partially-covered, enclosed courtyard with an outside braai and a Jacuzzi, and contains three bedrooms. The main bedroom has a king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a shower. The second bedroom has a double bed, and the third bedroom has twin beds. The last two rooms share a bathroom with a bath and a shower.

The well-equipped kitchen includes a gas stove with an electric oven, a washing machine, a dishwasher, while the lounge features a flat screen TV with full DStv. The house has a lock-up garage, and an initial supply of one day's serving of coffee, tea, rooibos, sugar, creamer, shampoo and soap is also provided.

We were a group of 6 adults and arrived at approx 1pm and were given a complete tour of Paters by the lady from the Office. Paters on first appearance looks just like a fishermans cottage but it is a welcoming suprise when one steps inside. The kitchen had everything we needed including a huge gas cooker but the fridge did not dispense clean water and there was no mop and bucket. The indoor courtroom had a huge fireplace and jacuzzi and suited all our needs. The artwork at Paters spares no expense and although not to my taste did keep my attention for quite a while. The view from the patio is quite magnificent and we spent many hours sitting there but would have prefered more adequate seating with a decent table, an outdoor braai would have also been great as an alternative to the courtroom. All in all it was a fantastic stay and am ready to book again for next year.
