Phaphalati Resorts is a newly developed Resort with a 32 bedroom Hotel, 10 Forest Chalets and Sea Facing Homes, perfectly situated on a large 8ha site in Ponta Malongane, just 13km from Ponta do Ouro. The Resort is perfectly located for guests to enjoy the tranquility Mozambique has to offer as well as attractions such as Deep sea fishing, paddling, scuba diving, snorkeling and dolphin watching just a few kilometers away in Ponta do Ouro. With pristine white beaches and breathtaking views, it almost feels like a touch of Heaven.

All double rooms are en-suite with 2 x three-quarter beds in each room, air conditioners, linen, bath towels and complimentary soap, shampoo and body lotion.It has a sumptuous lounge and large pool deck presenting stunning views over the ocean. Lunch and dinner menus are available in the dining room and the bar serves up a variety of mouth-watering cocktails. Border Transfer:
Those without 4x4 or 4x2 bakkies or any four wheel drive vehicle without a diff lock, must make use of a border transfer to get to Ponta Malongane!
The resort is situated 14km from the boarder post, R350 per person with return. Driver will collect you and guest at the border upon arrival including your luggage and equipment.

Neat room by

Love the deck at pool and view. The area between hotel and first block of rooms could be paved and a nice outdoor chairs and little table be provided on the stoep. This hotel is a gem but the tall man who never greated us and seems to run the establisment should study hospitality skills.

Mozambique Getaway by

Our stay at Hotel Phaphalathi was most enjoyable. Our rooms were clean and comfortable. The meals in the restaurant were definitely good value for money and very tasty. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Overall a good weekend spent in Mozambique..

Wonderful Moz! by

I had an extremely nice time. The staff are the most amazing people. Friendly and so willing to help. If I may , I would suggest deck chairs (to read and just listen to the music which are always playing). Little upgrade to the rooms (shower head, toilet paper holder, globe in the lamp). Aircon worked fantastic, linen were clean as can be. Room was clean. Will definitely be back!!

Dercenio's hospitality and his bar man was super. Internet connection needs to be attended to. Please include breakfast in your hotel guests as you said it is included. Advice people to carry enough Mozambican money prior to arriving, otherwise we had a wonderful stay.

Re: Hotel Phaphalati ? Mozambique (Booking No.13387771) As planned we have check-in into the hotel on 18 September 2018. Our general external impression is that the hotel is only suitable for third-world clients, mainly due lack of basic maintenance and poor interior design. The advertising text and the nice photo of the pool are very misleading. Adding the negative fact that the place is on a sandy track far away from the center of Ponta Malongane (for the purpose of eating in a restaurant), the specific problems are the following: ? The room was dirty, not comfortable and inadequately supplied with lights required to be able reading a book ? Not a single chair or lounger to relax on was available on the pool deck ? Some of the broken wooden steps to reach the beach and the badly maintained hand rails are certainly not safe. Does the hotel's management ignore that older people have difficulty in coping with such steep steps required to reach the beach? ? Considering that we were the only guests we had to wait over an hour to get a fried egg and a toast for breakfast. One had the feeling that no service was available in the hotel in spite of the presence of a very helpful guy responsible for everything. We had therefore no alternative but to leave disappointed after three nights, having paid for six! What a bad experience! Regards. A.Leusch
