Portside Inn offers personal attention from the owners and full English breakfasts are on offer with home-cooked dinners available on request. We are situated 200 m from East London's main beach which is family orientated and it has small boating facilities.
The East London International Convention Centre is an easy 600 metre walk from us and we are one block from the start / finish of the 70.3 Iron Man.

All of our rooms have en-suite bathrooms and we offer both self-catering and bed and breakfast facilities. Laundry services are available at reasonable rates and there is secure off-street parking. Our inn is surrounded by a small botanical garden and which has an abundance of bird life.

Within easy walking distance are supermarkets, banks, the post office, the Esplanade with several restaurants, hotels and our very interesting aquarium. Up-to-date tourism information is available for planning your day or for the continuation of your trip. Be assured that your stay is very important to us and we will do everything to ensure that it will be an enjoyable one.

My stay was nice. The place is safe and homely. Thank you so much.

Nice hosts. Clean and comfortable. Wonderful breakfasts, went the extra mile to help us enjoy our stay.

Great location by

We stayed at Weaver Suite. The main issues we came across were the cleanliness, outside noise disturbances and the poor Wi-Fi signal. We found the microwave pretty dirty on the inside and the splash cover had a lot of grime on it. The Wi-Fi signal strength was only decent if you stood near the entrance of the room, but most of the room had no signal. The owner of the establishment was aware of this, which confused me a little because there are interventions that could have been taken to boost the signal. The DSTV access advertised on the site is not what it seems. We had no DSTV connection to our room and we were told to inform the owner if we needed to watch a specific channel. Lastly, the noise factor from people staying in adjacent rooms and properties at night time was not ideal. In general however, the stay was decent
