Protea Guest House offers three self-catering wooden cottages, situated in a large tropical garden with lovely views of the Knysna Lagoon and the Knysna Heads.

One cottage (Loerie)features two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a lounge, and large sundeck with barbecue facilities. The other two cottages (Glasogie and Suikerbekkie) sleep two people each, also with private sundecks and barbecue facilities.

Off-street parking is available and our Guesthouse is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac away from the busy main road. It is located in a safe and quiet neighbourhood. There is abundant birdlife in the garden which is also visited by the Knysna Loerie and the Vervet monkeys.

Glasogie and Suikerbekkie both have Openview tv and Loerie has selected Dstv (business package). Free unlimited 100 Mbps fibre wifi is available in all the cottages. Parking in garage is also available, subject to availability at a small additional fee per night.

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was clean, well equipped and nicely decorated. The breakfast of eggs, bacon, toast, jam, muesli, milk and juice, was served on our own deck. Adri was a very good host and gave advice on what to do. Thanks!

A genuine bed and breakfast by

Airy and spacious, with a beautiful view, we were able to relax without going anywhere. A generous and tasty breakfast served on the deck and assistance in unpacking and packing our car added to the feeling of being well looked after.

Overnight stay by

Definitely a place to revisit. Adri was a very gracious & welcoming hostess. Well stocked self catering cottage, with breathtaking view from the deck. A home away from home. Pristine and beautifully maintained. Had the best nights sleep in a long time. Lovely decor, wonderful views from all windows. Loved it, planning another visit soon with a bunch of the ladies. Woo Hoo! We also requested breakfast as we had an early start, this was hot and delicious and generous!!
