Red Stone Hills Holiday Farm is situated on Route 62, between Oudtshoorn and Calitzdorp. We farm ostriches, cattle, sheep, lucern and vines. Children are welcome to join tractor rides in the mornings while feeding the animals. Field courses are offered on specific dates comprising fossils, geology and botanical walks.

We have eight renovated cottages nestled in a valley of vineyards and surrounded by colourful red stone hills displaying their own natural windows. The units offer bathrooms, DStv, air-conditioners, open hearths for indoor barbecues, and fully equipped kitchens. Guests are assured of total privacy and tranquil surroundings.

Enjoy spectacular views of the Red Stone Hills, vineyards and river. A scenic, circular route links our farm with the Swartberg Pass, Cango Caves and the Cango Wildlife Ranch. We offer horse riding on a pony, birdwatching, swimming in the pool or river, rock art, hiking and walking trails to view small mammals, antelope, fynbos and succulents. It is truly a paradise for children and artists.

We offer special rates during low season on a minimum of a three night stay. We can serve delicious breakfasts on request which range from Continentals to full Farm Breakfasts. We also offer three course dinners and semi self-catering barbecue packs which are delivered to your cottage with a table set and fire made. Enjoy gazing at the stars and hearing the calls of the night life during summer, and a warm cosy fire in an open hearth during winter.

Lovely location by

We stayed in the most basic cottage which was still well equipped and better than we expected. Lovely views and the owners are very friendly, taking my son out on a morning visit to feed the ostriches on their working farm. Order their delicious home made braai meals all brought to your door and the fire set for you to cook. Lovely stay.

Great house, we arrived just after rain an thunderstorm. First rain in 3,5 months The mimosa smelled great. Our stay was too short. We didn't do the hikes and regret that. Anyway also the breakfast at the pool was fantastic.

Ideal for hiking and photography (and birding for those so inclined) by

Lovely and quaint cottages in a geologically fascinating environment. Landscape painters would also love it. Close enough to Calitzdorp for lunch/dinner and port tasting.

Ons het heerlik voor die kaggel gekuier...lekker warm en sag geslaap en die lieflike omgewing verken. Petro is n innemende gasvrou wat moeite doen met haar gaste.
