Kariega Wildreservaat - Rivier Loge

River Lodge is a 5 Star quality lodge built on the banks of the Bushmans River. We offer exclusivity, comfort and spectacular views.

The lodge is malaria free and comprises of 10 superbly appointed, spacious, air-conditioned thatched suites. The facilities include a stunning outdoor pool and communal satellite television. Inside the lodge guests can find a quiet spot in one of the lounges, page through a book in the library, relax at the pool or take in the view from the magnificent deck which overhangs the river.

The private game reserve comprises nearly 9000 hectares of pristine wilderness that spans across five different ecosystems and is home to more than 25 species of game including lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo, white rhino, hippo, hyena, giraffe and a variety of antelope. A unique feature is the ability to walk freely and safely among the game in an area of the reserve and more than 280 species of birds nest on the Reserve.

Guests can enjoy the riverine forest, the valley bushveld, the savannah grasslands, fynbos, and acacia woodlands. Unique activities include boating, river fishing and crabbing. River Lodge is one of a kind and is ideal for small groups.
