Welcome to Rixile Kruger Lodge!Our haven in the Greater KrugerRixile (pronounced Rishileh), is the local Tsongan word for sunrise?.Located on a 1 hectare stand within the original boundary of the Sabi Sands Game Reserve and within a five minute drive from the main entrance of the world famous Kruger National Park, Rixile Kruger Lodge will give you a self-catering bush experience like no other.

The lodge has been built around and under spectacular knob-thorn trees resulting in the lodge it being completely immersed in the environment. The property has been fenced off from the neighbouring Big 5 reserves. However, the sounds of lions and hyenas often reverberate through the night air. The neighbouring Protea Hotel provides additional dining opportunities should you not feel like cooking for yourself.

The open-plan living room and kitchen feature triple volume ceilings with wrap around ceiling windows. Together with fully retractable sliding doors you will feel completely immersed in the surrounding bushveld. A relaxing lounge and stunning fireplace together with large basket lights create the perfect ambience.

A fully equipped kitchen with gas stove, double fridge, ice maker and nespresso machine will make your stay at Rixile feel like a home away from home. An 8-seater solid wood dining table finishes the space perfectly. The lounge flows opens out onto an outdoor, undercover covered dining and lounge area from which you can view our resident impala, nyala, kudu and bushbuck passing by. A deck with pool and sun loungers provide the perfect relaxation areas during the hot hours of the day.

A large boma with fire pit and braai area will allow you to enjoy the spectacular milky way above you. Bedroom 1 Watch the sunrise from this master bedroom featuring a king-sized bed with full en-suite bathroom including a free-standing bath as well as indoor and outdoor showers. A sun deck allows you to soak up the surrounding bush in private. The room is rounded off by a dressing table and separate study nook. Bedroom 2 & 3 These two bedrooms are identical and both feature offer beautiful views into the bush. They both feature queen-sized beds as well as en-suite indoor and outdoor showers and a dressing table.

Skukuza, located 57 km east of Hazyview at the confluence of the N'waswitshaka and Sabie Rivers in Mpumalanga, is the administrative headquarters and the "Capital city" of the Kruger National Park, South Africa. It is also the largest rest camp of the park.
