My camping experience at Rocky Bay by

Our camping site was sea facing, just such a lovely view, the ablutions were clean, the swimming pool was sparkling. My only gripe was, I had arranged with the office to have one of the staff to erect our tent as we had no clue how too and that we will only be arriving at 5.30pm on the Friday night. Charlene arranged this for us and needles to say he did not pitch after security phoned him and he still said he would be there in 10 mins. He did not arrive and the kind gentleman at security helped us but during the night our sleeping quarters collapsed as the tent poles were incorrectly positioned, not his fault but it was inconvenient. Charlene was very upset when she heard my story, apologized profusely , she then got hold of "fisherman"and yeah all was in order. From then on we had a ball, the beach was beautiful, just loved the place and will be back, tent and all.

We enjoyed our stay at Rocky Bay, snorkelling was not so great. Overall we had a great time. Would have been nice to have a covered porch, there was no place to hide from the sun. Otherwise a lovely view and place.

Hear the sea roar by

We have always loved Rocky Bay. The wooden chalets are just about on the beach and it's amazing listening to the waves break at night. The rooms, linen and towels are nice and clean. The beds however are seriously uncomfortable. Even my 13 year old complained of backache after a nights sleep. One word of advice: Bring your own knifes for cutting meat etc as our unit only had a bread knife. We feel that Rocky Bay is a little overpriced, but if you are happy to fork out the expense, it still makes for a great holiday right on the beach.
