This is a double story house, situated one row of houses from the sea with a greenbelt next to the house and a footpath to the sea. The house is in the region of Schaap-eiland and therefore overlooks the rocks and sea. It has a steep driveway, but a normal car can be used. There is parking for at least 4 cars, but turning area is limited. The upper level has 180 degrees sea views and also some views of Table Mountain (on clear days). The house is on a large plot with natural vegetation growth.

The house is built on the radar station (which dates back to World War II) and therefore part of the house is dated. Towels are available for all rooms

Upper level: Double garage, kitchen with dishwasher , dining room with built-in braai that leads out on a balcony with 8 seater picnic bench. Sea views. TV room with full DStv, fire place, sea views, another small balcony, conversation pit and views of Table Mountain on a clear day. Toilet & stairs to lower level Lower level (bedrooms)

Lower level: Main king bedroom ? king bed which can be split into 2 single beds, en-suite full bathroom (shower and bath), cupboards, balcony, sea views, electric blanket available in winter; 2nd double bedroom ? double bed, en-suite bathroom (shower only), no sea views, shelf, but no cupboard, electric blanket available in winter; 3rd queen bedroom ? queen bed, en-suite bathroom (shower only), balcony, sea views, cupboard, electric blanket available in winter; 4th single beds room ? 2 single beds, en-suite bathroom (shower only), office desk, cupboards, no sea view, note that this room can only be accessed via a door from the main bedroom or from the outside of the house; 5th bunk bed area ? ideal for children, bunk beds, small window with sea view, no bathroom, small shelf, no cupboard, note this room is open to the passage on one side and only has a curtain to block it off from the passage.

Outbuilding: -There is laundry room outside the house with dryer and washer ? please request access upon arrival as it is normally locked.

All round sea views by

House was perfect for what we needed for the weekend. Had a great weekend -really enjoyed the visit to the main beach. Two things I would look at improving - Finding a way to keep the windows cleaner - sea mist meant the view was very clouded thru some windows. Second would be a resurfacing off the driveway - in pretty poor condition. Since it is not an easy drive anyway the broken stones make it that much more difficult. We did not use the garages - weren't sure how to access them which effectively meant leaving cars in the street. Wifi would be a big plus!

The beautiful beaches! by

We really enjoyed the beautiful views. It would be great if the windows were cleaned so that it could be enjoyed even more. The wifi password did not work. The balcony beam broke off and my daughter almost fell down. Definitely needs replacement.
