Shalva offers spectacular views over the Atlantic Ocean and Schaap Island as well as Table Mountain during clear skies. All you will hear is the continuous rolling out of waves onto rocks and white sandy shores. At low tide you might want to go for a stroll and see what the crystal-clear rock-pools have to offer. Here you will be able to experience nature at its best. You might spot whales in season and are bound to see dolphins playing in the surf and turquoise waves. The shimmering sea will fascinate and sooth you and, you will be surrounded with the cry of seagulls as they flock together to feed. The ultimate experience will be watching the terns taking off in one huge flock just to settle again after having performed their dazzling display.

Great fortitude is required to swim or surf in the icy waters of the Atlantic Ocean, but you can do so ? right in front of Shalva.
