Shella Bahari Gastenhuis

Shella Bahari Guest House is one of the few oceanfront guest houses on Lamu Island. The house is located a short distance from the famous 12 kilometer unspoilt beach.

Bahari started out as a small restaurant in 1989 but has been extended to include five double en-suite bedrooms. The rooms are decorated with quaint little pieces of Swahili furniture. Each room is equipped with a ceiling fan and bed net.

From the villa pier you can catch a Dhow going to the town of Lamu or take a sunset sail with friends. We are an ideal getaway with a promise of sunny skies all year round with a welcoming pitter patter of tepid rain in the middle months of the year.

For all your adventurers out there, tease your restless spirit by indulging in some deep sea diving or go snorkelling as you play peek-a-boo with the coral fish.
