Silver Sands is situated on the South Beach in Durban in close proximity to Ushaka Marine World.

The units are air-conditioned, fully equipped, comfortably furnished and serviced Monday to Saturday, with limited DStv. Service on a Sunday can be requested at a nominal fee. There are side facing and sea facing units accommodating two, four, six and eight people.

Silver Sands is only a short drive away from Sun Coast Casino, Gateway Theatre of Shopping, Pavillion, Wilson's Wharf, rugby, soccer and cricket stadiums.

Not happy by

I was not happy with the rooms offered the carboads were broken, bathroom taps were not working properly at room 12a and at room 10a the stove was not working, there were no toilet rolls in the toilet. We had to clean our own rooms before check out, as they were going to charge us R100.00

I was enjoying my stay and we were ask to vacate our rooms on Saturday the 3rd March because our room belongs to someone else. And we only checked in around 4am in the morning because our flight was late. We were tired. I was told it's company rules and I knew nothing about the rules. I disagreed to leave our apartment. After an hour or so, we went down to the beach passing reception, I heard a receptionist explaining to white family that there was a misunderstanding about room 808 the one we were staying in. So they won't be getting the room because we are there. The apartment apartheid or racism won't end in South Africa because we are still being ill treated because we are black. We were supposed to vacate a room because they offered whites our room. Im working for Africa leading hotel group theres no way I will be treated bad, I know everything about it. That's bullshit. And the cleaner only came in on Saturday we ask her to change the towels only and leave because we still needed to rest. Other days Sunday she didn't pitch up. We didn't have toilet rolls and clean towels
