Sofala Loge

Sofala Lodge offers luxury boutique accommodation in the Waterberg area, just 48 km from the closest town of Mokopane in the Limpopo Province. The lodge is located 244 km from the city of Johannesburg.

Sofala Lodge offers a cluster of four luxury suites, connected via a landscape walking patch to the main lodge where guests can enjoy breakfast or visit the OENA Day Spa for a bit of pampering. The suites can accommodate 2 guests in each and can either be booked individually or together. Large stacking doors in each suite lead out onto a private patio offering views of the surroundings, where you can spot a variety of buck, zebra, sable or guinea fowl walking past or grazing nearby.

Each spacious, air-conditioned suite contains a king-size bed and has an en-suite bathroom with a separate bath and shower. Each suite is equipped with linen, extra blankets, a tea and coffee station, bar fridge, a ceiling fan, cupboards with wooden hangers, a luggage rack, writing console, an electronic safe for valuables, free Wi-Fi, a hairdryer, a wall-mounted TV with Netflix, emergency light, and mosquito spray.

Sterkrivier is situated deep within the pristine splendour of the Waterberg area. Its ideal location offers access to a number of nearby attractions and activities, such as the Doorndraai Dam Nature Reserve for fishing or relaxing on the banks. There are a number of trails in the immediate area for those who wish to appreciate the local beauty at a comfortable pace. Bird watching opportunities are plentiful and rewarding.
