Cute, Cosy, Comfortable Cottage. Fully equipped for self-catering. Delightful totally private small garden with braai facilities and secure parking. Good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, small families. Pet friendly. The charming village of Clarens is the ideal location for a weekend getaway or a longer stay. Our place is close to family-friendly activities including well marked hiking and biking trails. Experience the great pubs and restaurants offering varied cuisines. Up to two children are welcome but only stretchers are provided. You will need to bring your own bedding/pillows/sleeping bags for the stretchers. The bedroom has a double bed and en-suite shower. The property is fenced and secure for children and pets. On arrival, we will show you the facilities and then the place is your own - unless you need our help!

The whole Clarens experience by

Really a wonderful cottage. Everything was clean, tidy and very cozy. Loved the fire place and enough wood to see us through our 2 day stay. A bit disappointed with the so-called braai facilities as we were planning on a braai but couldn't use it as it was filthy with a make shift grill held up with a couple of bricks. Also had the mop up against the tree at the main entrance on our arrival. Otherwise would recommend this to everyone. Just need some small attention to detail like the braai facilities and also remove cleaning utensils (mop) before guests arrive. Thanks to Yolandie the host as she was at the cottage waiting for us on arrival although we were delayed. Love the place and will certainly be back at "Somebody's cottage"

Warm fire & quiet nites by

What a lovely little cottage.
Very close to the center of town & walks.
Lovely warm fireplace.
Only experienced two problems, the cottage has insufficient insulation against the cold ( very much doubt there's any airolite in the ceiling) in the mornings there was mist coming out our mouths Inside the cottage. The bedroom heater does nothing for warming up the room. So bedroom was Freezing. (Thank god for electric blanket)
And there was too much light coming in through the bedroom blinds from the street lights.
Other than the cold, it was a absolutely superb stay.

I'm delighted you enjoyed our cottage. I'm sorry you got the coldest few days we've had in Clarens this year!
We have in fact invested heavily in aerolite in the floors, walls and ceilings! I've found leaving the wall heater on all the time helps and closing the bedroom door and the bathroom door at night kept the room toasty warm.
Clarens in winter is usually one of the coldest places in SA and folk come to enjoy the experience. If they're lucky they often get snow!!

Very private! by

Clean, neat. Friendly host. Room very cold!!. A proper heater will be more effective. What about more comfortable towels?? Would still recommend cottage as area is very quiet!
