Tent With a View

Tent with a View is a lodge in a remote and secluded location on the Indian Ocean coast, approximately a four hour drive north of Dar es Salaam. With a unique combination of bush and beach, Saadani National Park is the only place in East Africa where guests can finish a thrilling game drive with a stroll along a beautiful deserted beach.

There are 11 beachfront tented bandas with en-suite bathrooms, hot water and solar-powered lighting. Each banda is raised up on a wooden platform and has a large private balcony with a hammock. The honeymoon suite, Venus has its own sunken bath set deep within the mangroves. A restaurant looks out over the spectacular Indian Ocean and serves wonderful cuisine with a seafood theme, accompanied by a wide and varied wine menu. There is also a well-stocked bar with a range of spirits and wines.

In the immediate vicinity of the lodge there are several guided nature trails, including a day walk trail and a viewing tower. There is also a canoe which can be used for a relaxing bird watching trip on the nearby Mafui River. These activities are complimentary for guests.
