The Aloe Cottage is situated on a working farm between Swellendam and De Hoop Nature Reserve. You can experience real country living while watching the everyday activities that happen on the farm.

The cottage is fully equipped with one bedroom, a private bathroom, a well-appointed kitchen and a lounge area with DStv and two sleeper couches. There is an indoor and outdoor braai area.

Guests can see how the cows are milked, how the calves and lambs are fed, as well as feed your leftovers to the pigs. Feel free to cycle, jog or take a leisurely walk and see interesting reptiles, birds, animals and plants. The patio has beautiful views of the Renosterveld bush.

We really enjoyed a relaxing and peaceful weekend away on the farm. The cottage is brand new, comfortable and has everything you need. The owners and their staff made us feel welcome and we were able to experience life on a working farm. Will visit again soon.

Wonderful place to stay by

We loved staying here and will definitely come back. Facilities were all that we needed and more, hosts were very warm and friendly, location was great for access to the de Hoop nature reserve and the bird life here was exceptional not to mention springboks within metres of the veranda.

Hostess was very welcoming and friendly. Viewing the wild buck at sunset was great.
