The Art Hotel

The Art Hotel is located on the beach in the heart of Mfumbwi, a fishing village, where you will have the opportunity to experience Tanzanian daily life first hand. The hotel is run by a Swiss-Tanzanian family who would love to give you an impression of the Zanzibar culture.

We offer four en-suite rooms, all with lovely sea views. All the rooms have a double bed, a safe and a furnished seating area. Our rooms are individually designed by local artists and our chef will spoil you with traditional Tanzanian food and drink.

There are a number of sport opportunities nearby such as diving, snorkelling and fishing. A kite centre, run by Kite World Wide, opens seasonally at the beach. We can also organize tailor-made excursions of your choice, as well as reserve a table at nearby restaurants. We can arrange pick up from the airport or the harbour.
