Disappointed by

Stayed at the Gallagher this past weekend and I was greatly disappointed. When I arrived, I found that the TV wasn't working, with it's cables hanging out. Called the maintenance guys, and they managed to sort that out. Then there was an issue with the bathroom door that didn't close, and the LOUD noise that came from it whenever you flashed, not forgetting the big whole in the bathroom ceiling. I wanted to close the curtains in the bedroom and the entire railing fell on me. The walls are thin so you could hear everything from the other rooms. The passage had a strong smell, which was rather unpleasant. The staff was friendly at least, but all in all, I wouldn't stay there again.

I would like to take this opportunity in conveying my sincere apology for your unsatisfactory stay at The Gallagher Hotel and any inconveniences that you may have experienced.
 
We are currently  upgrading our rooms over the  next two months from curtains to blinds and other major renovations.
 
As for the noise levels we have tried to ensure that all guests should be in their rooms after 22:00pm and not in the foyer area.
 
Unfortunately, the time that you were booked with us we had 80% international clientele and they were a very boisterous and rowdy group, and we tried  to get them to keep the noise levels to a minimum.
 
We have scenting boxes on every corridor and we ensure that the fragrance burst is set on the lowest level.
 
At The Gallagher Hotel we take pride in ensuring that every guest is treated with a 5 Star treatment although we are rated a 3 Star hotel.
 
I would like the pleasure of hosting you in the future as you have brought to our attention  that we lack in certain areas, and I would like to rectify your opinion of The Gallagher Hotel.   No hotel is perfect as maintenance is always ongoing and we aim to learn and rectify our mistakes and better ourselves as each day is a learning process.

DO NOT EVER stay at this hotel by

I will be contacting the ratings agency as this hotel CANNOT be 3 star as they claim.
The worst experience genuinely of my life in any hotel or Accomodation and I travelled Europe as a young man with zero mo eye so stayed in many substandard hotels, but none come close.
There were three public hairs on our pillow, on top of and I side the bed. The chair was so filthy that you could stick to it with deeply Imbedded filth that's accumulated over year's. The bathroom door handles were broken on both sides. The TV was a joke and did no work and channels that did were so poor that you could see anything. There was not aneed area on any wall in the room that was not absolutely filthy with all kinds of dirt and marks that obviou6had accumulated over very long time. They put out towels and water for one when we were two people.all of this pailed in comparison to the real problem which was due to the thinnest walls that cannot be compliant and even window is obvious single pane, my wife and I could hear every single sound from every single guest in every room on the floor as though they were inside our room. It was the most incredible thing I've ever experienced in a hotel. There is a huge gap under door where my wife even tried to stuff bathroom matt to do something about the noise. The cars in car park and any noise there was just as bad and we were in second floor. We slept one hour such was the noise. We ended up paying for another hotel and just leaving this one in order that we could sleep the second night. This meant we incurred extra costs and due to having to find last min account. Ovation we ended up driving for two hours in morning in rush hour traffic to our meetings rather than eine just around the corner. We did Complain in morning to manager who kept me waiting for 1t mins at reception whilst he sat at his desk where I could see him and then stood in front of me not introducing himself.I explained all my issues in a civilised fashion to which he responded one word sorry and then turned to his employee and said room 141 and then walked back to his office. We drove I hrs to spend a night with no sleep and filth....please not waste your time or money........this property should not even be listed on this site as I see this site....
