The Homestead

The Homestead is a 26-bedroomed guest lodge with a homely atmosphere, situated in the quiet sanctuary of Geluksburg in the Drakensberg. This family guest lodge aims to give you value for your money at affordable prices. It is nestled at the bottom of the Middledale Pass and is a tranquil hideaway enabling you to escape from the stress and hustle and bustle of everyday life. Staying at The Homestead allows you to experience, peace and solitude in the Drakensberg Mountains.

The Homestead has tastefully furnished Standard en-suite double rooms, as well as family rooms which are two-bedrooms which share a bathroom. There are also an air-conditioned deluxe room and an air-conditioned honeymoon suite, with a four-poster bed, double shower and spa bath for two.

Buffet-style meals with plenty of fresh produce, are served in a comfortable dining room. Good company and friendships are made in our cosy Scottish pub, ?The Tam o' Shanter'. There is a Lapa braai area which is situated next to the swimming pool and the grounds are safe for the children to play in.

The Homestead also has conference facilities, ideal for business conferences, functions and private weddings. For entertainment there is a DStv communal lounge, swimming pool, games room, a pool table, a 9-pin skittle alley, and for the more energetic, a gym with a sauna.

Visitors to The Homestead and this area of the Drakensberg will find that it is conveniently situated for day trips to the Northern and Central Drakensberg.
