Just off the magnificently scenic Route 62, only 2.5 hours from Cape Town en route between Cape Town and the Garden Route/Cango Caves, you'll find the Karoo Art Hotel nestled in the sun drenched valley of the Langeberg Mountains. We have a lovely huge swimming pool on site for those hot summer days.Barrydale offers the visitor much to see and explore aside from the beautiful walks in the area you can browse the picturesque village of Barrydale, take a drive though the scenic Tradauw Pass which is very close by, unwind in the hot springs, a 20 minute drive from the hotel or just relax in front of the open fires and enjoy fine wines, ports and bubbly in our character-filled bar. We have an extensive wine list, which includes the best local wines, in our fully stocked bar. Single malt whiskeys and cognacs are also available for the connoisseur. Our executive chef and his culinary team have an extensive a la carte menu containing excellent regional Karoo and other South African dishes. Our restaurant has been awarded the Klein Karoo Gourmand Restaurant Award, acknowledging it to be one of the best restaurants in the Klein Karoo region.The hotel has 15 rooms and it's easy enough to book the whole hotel and fill it exclusively with your friends for a special occasion or just a good party. We have a variety of catering options available and can tailor-make a weekend to suit your occasion, for example weddings, birthday parties, anniversaries and conferences. We have piano, CD players, DVD and even a turntable with a great selection of vinyl records in the bar. Guests are also invited to bring their own vinyls and play DJ themselves. The bar has a small stage which can be used for live music and other performances. We also have the lovely historic Belanti Theatre, the old town cinema which is a spacious hall with a big stage - ideal for bigger functions and weddings. We have just opened a 40 seater private cinema for the entertainment of our guests.Our rates include a hearty Karoo breakfast and we offer greatly reduced prices when you book the whole hotel for one night or more. We also offer free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel for resident guests. This eclectic hotel is a mix of old and new and has something to offer for everyone.
