The Kingfisher Corner offers self-catering cottages in the beautiful seaside Village of Sedgefield and is 300 m from the lagoon. The Kingfisher Corner has two cottages - The Kingfisher Corner and The Other Corner. They are both fully equipped for self-catering and enjoy lovely sea and beach views from their balconies.

The Kingfisher Corner has two bedrooms furnished with single and double beds as well as two bathrooms, while The Other Corner has two and a half bedrooms furnished with queen-size beds, a bunk bed and single beds with two shared bathrooms. The kitchens are equipped with stoves, ovens, microwaves and toasters, as well as Weber braais. The comfortable lounges are equipped with TVs with access to local channels and there is Wi-Fi Internet access. The Other Corner also has a cosy fireplace and The Kingfisher Corner has a DVD player. Each unit has a private entrance to give visitors some privacy and they have garages for one car. Guests have private access to the lagoon which is safe for swimming and just relaxing in the sun.

Sedgefield borders the Goukamma Nature Reserve and the Wilderness National Park, leaving the visitor spoilt for choice when it comes to birdwatching and walks through indigenous fauna and flora. Groenvlei Lake, which forms part of the Goukamma Nature Reserve, is the only fresh water lake in the district and it lies to the east of Sedgefield. It is popular for its bass fishing and for the more adventurous there is paragliding which is also popular in the area.

Amazing by

We had an amazing stay at Kingfisher corner. Lillith has thought of everything, even having salt and pepper in the cupboards. This may sound like a small thing, but is one of those that one often forgets to pack. The accomodation was lovely and homely, and accomodated our party of six very comfortably with extra blankets in each room, heaters and much more. We will definitely go back.
